Mead Johnson Achieves Record March of Dimes Donation

On the last Saturday in April, hundreds of Mead Johnson employees, their families and friends gathered in three different cities for one reason: to raise awareness about premature births and support research and programs for premature babies. The March of Dimes hits the core of Mead Johnson’s mission to nourish the world’s children for the best start in life.

Mead Johnson Pediatric Nutrition Institute Presents Latest Nutrition Science at Global Pediatric Conference

Scientists from the Mead Johnson Pediatric Nutrition Institute (MJPNI) shared their research on pediatric nutrition at the 46th annual meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), held last month in London. ESPGHAN is a premier pediatric nutrition congress attracting more than 4,000 leading research and medical professionals from around the world.
The MJPNI also hosted a symposium that brought together world leading pediatric nutrition experts to discuss the role of nutrition in optimizing pediatric health and development.

New Study Compares Nutramigen® LGG® Infant Formula to Other Infant Formulas for Cow’s Milk Allergy

Mead Johnson is excited to announce that a new independent study published online this week in the Journal of Pediatrics shows significantly more infants with cow’s milk allergy who receive Nutramigen® LGG®, an extensively hydrolyzed formula that includes Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG), built a tolerance to cow’s milk compared to those fed other infant formulas used in the study.

Premature birth is a global issue that puts babies at an increased risk for health complications, and even death. Understanding ways to help infants in these circumstances is critical to their survival, and raising public awareness about the problems of prematurity has never been more important.

New Data Furthers Evidence of Positive Health and Cognitive Effects of DHA in Infants

Through research and discussions with child welfare experts, we have learned that while their caregivers work very hard to provide optimal care to these children, science-based training and resources on nutrition and feeding practices to help identify nutrition deficiencies are often unavailable.
