Environmental Excellence in Chonburi, Thailand

Posted on Jul. 12th, 2011 at 2:00pm

Mead Johnson Thailand has been actively improving environmental conditions in Chonburi Province, home of our manufacturing facilities.

Mangrove forests are an integral part of the Chonburi Province ecosystem. These rich ecosystems protect coastal areas from erosion and storm surge during hurricanes and tsunamis. Their root system provides a vital breeding ground for marine organisms and creates a thriving environment for life. In recognition of this uinque and important ecosystem, Mead Johnson is engaging in a range of initiatives to protect the environmental conditions in the region, including:

Developing the “Planting 1,365 trees” campaign for a greener Chonburi

  • Involving Mead Johnson employees in volunteer efforts associated with the tree planting campaign
  • Promoting environmental education practices by supporting the expansion of the Nature Garden Learning Center, including botanical tree planting surrounding the development of a walking trail and walkway
