Mead Johnson Expands Board and Appoints Celeste Clark as Director

GLENVIEW, Ill., Jan 26, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Mead Johnson Nutrition Company (NYSE: MJN) announced today that it is expanding the size of its board from nine to ten members and appointing Celeste A. Clark, Ph.D., as its newest director.

Clark, 57, is Senior Vice President, Global Public Policy & External Relations and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) for the Kellogg Company. Dr. Clark joined Kellogg in 1977, advancing through numerous management positions across a range of business functions, including nutrition, marketing, promotions and communications. She transitioned from a U.S. role to a global role in 1996, and was named Kellogg's CSO in 2008.

Dr. Clark's current responsibilities include providing leadership for Kellogg's worldwide nutrition, regulatory, communications and corporate social responsibility functions. She is also a company liaison worldwide between professional associations, government agencies and trade associations on nutrition and health policy and marketing practices.

Clark serves on the board of directors of the Auto Club Group / AAA Michigan. She is also actively involved in a number of professional and industry affiliations, including the Grocery Manufacturers of America, the Institute of Medicine Food Forum, the World Health Organization Industry Group, the Consumer Goods Forum, the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation and the Executive Leadership Council. In addition, she is a member of The Links, one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations.

Dr. Clark holds a bachelor's degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a master's degree in nutrition from Iowa State University. She earned her doctorate in food science and human nutrition at Michigan State University. A native of Colfax, Louisiana, she is a long-time resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, where she and her husband reside.
