Representatives from Mead Johnson Colombia accept the United Way recognition for excellence in CSR

On one side of the room, children dig furiously on an artificial beach, sifting through sand to find buried treasure.
On the other side of the room, another group of children put their swiftness to the test by racing a virtual T-Rex dinosaur.
And in the center of it all, children donning grass skirts and flower leis showed off their newly learned dance moves for the crowd.
Besides simply being fun, each one of these activities represents a key aspect of holistic brain development, which was the focus of the recent Enfa A+ Brain Expo hosted in Vietnam.

September 15 is National Neonatal Nurses Day, when we recognize the outstanding efforts that these outstanding medical professionals provide to infants and families at, perhaps, the most vulnerable time of their lives. Kelli Kelley, founder and executive director of Hand to Hold, a nonprofit focused on support and education for families of babies who spend time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), shared her experiences with these outstanding healthcare experts.

Young children in Evansville will soon have even more to look forward to during visits to the park – new playground equipment that not is not only fun, but also supportive of developmental and educational play.
In conjunction with the company’s centennial celebration in Evansville, the Mead Johnson Nutrition Foundation donated $100,000 to the Evansville Parks Foundation for the construction of new play spaces in some of the city’s neediest neighborhoods.

Earlier this year, Mead Johnson China worked alongside members of a multinational commerce and trade organization to deliver much needed material support, including clothing, bedding, hygiene products, educational materials and toys, worth over 1.2 million yuan (US $193,000) to impoverished villagers in Changyuan Village in Meizhou, China.

The enrollment figures speak for themselves. Nearly 200 people are taking adult literacy classes, with the same number participating in health education. In the co-located preschool, all 50 seats are filled.

On the last Saturday in April, hundreds of Mead Johnson employees, their families and friends gathered in three different cities for one reason: to raise awareness about premature births and support research and programs for premature babies. The March of Dimes hits the core of Mead Johnson’s mission to nourish the world’s children for the best start in life.

For Mead Johnson, 2014 was filled with many activities that demonstrated the company's ongoing commitment to doing the right thing in Thailand. Through financial support and the dedication of our generous employee volunteers, the company advanced environmental restoration efforts near its manufacturing facility and supported several early childhood development programs.
