Mead Johnson Nominates Casiano and Catalano to Board of Directors

GLENVIEW, Ill., Mar 31, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Mead Johnson Nutrition Company (NYSE: MJN) announced today that Kimberly A. Casiano and Anna C. Catalano had been nominated to its board of directors. Casiano and Catalano will stand for election at the company's annual meeting on May 11, 2010. The addition of these two nominees would increase the size of the board to nine members.

Casiano, 52, an advisor to top business leaders targeting the Hispanic market, was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Casiano Communications Inc. for 15 years. Based in Puerto Rico and founded by her family in 1973, Casiano Communications is the largest U.S. Hispanic publisher of magazines and periodicals in the country, in addition to being a leader in bilingual direct marketing and contact center services. Prior to joining Casiano Communications in 1988, Ms. Casiano managed her own company to foster trade and investment in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Catalano, 50, had a 20-year career in the energy industry, serving in various marketing, branding and business development roles. Having held senior executive positions in Asia, Europe and the United States - including president of the Amoco Orient Oil Company in China and group vice president marketing for BP plc - she has tremendous experience with the challenges of operating a multinational business in a global environment.

From 1981 to 1988, Kimberly Casiano managed her own company, Caribbean Marketing Overseas Corporation, which served as a Caribbean Basin Initiative consultant to the U.S. Agency for International Development in developing and executing public and private sector projects throughout the region.

Casiano has served on the boards of Ford Motor Company since 2003 and Mutual of America since 2006. She is involved in a number of philanthropic efforts, including the Hispanic College Fund, Nuestra Casa de los NiƱos, and the Moffitt Cancer Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Politics and Latin American Studies from Princeton and her Master's in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Previously recognized on Fortune Magazine's ranking of "The Most Powerful Women in International Business," Anna Catalano is a frequent speaker on the topics of brand building, corporate reputation, and mentoring and advancement of women in business.

Catalano currently serves on the boards of Willis Group Holdings and U.S. Dataworks, and she is an advisory board member for Amyris Biotechnologies and BT Global Services. She received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Her philanthropic involvement includes service in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association and the Alzheimer's Association.
