Kasper Jakobsen is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mead Johnson Nutrition. Mr. Jakobsen served as CEO-Elect for Mead Johnson and was appointed to the company’s Board of Directors in June 2012. Prior to becoming President and CEO, he was Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for the company. In this role, which he assumed in January 2012, Mr. Jakobsen led the company’s Global Operating Committee, with responsibility for all regional business activities, as well as Global Marketing and Global Supply Chain.
From 2009-2011, Mr. Jakobsen served as MJN President – Americas. In that position, he oversaw all business activities in the United States, Latin America and Canada. In addition, he had responsibility for the company’s Global Marketing efforts.
Mr. Jakobsen joined Mead Johnson in 1998 to head up Asia marketing, working closely with Steve Golsby and the rest of the regional leadership team to develop the company’s China growth strategy. From 2001-2004, he served as General Manager of Mead Johnson’s Philippines operations, before he was promoted to Vice President & General Manager – South East Asia business in 2004. In mid-2006, Kasper’s responsibilities were again expanded with a promotion to Senior Vice President & General Manager – Asia Pacific, including overall responsibility for the company’s Greater China business operations.
Prior to joining Mead Johnson Nutrition, Mr. Jakobsen worked for nearly a decade for Unilever PLC in various marketing roles across the Asia Pacific region.
Born and raised in Denmark, Mr. Jakobsen holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Auckland University in New Zealand.
Charles Urbain is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position he assumed in September 2015.
In this role, Mr. Urbain leads the company's commercial operations and guides Mead Johnson's External Affairs and Corporate Security activities. He has a long history with Mead Johnson and most recently served as Interim Chief Financial Officer. He began his career as an Auditor with Price Waterhouse and held various positions in Treasury, Tax and Finance with Schlumberger, before joining Bristol Myers-Squibb 28 years ago. After progressing through positions of increasing seniority within Finance, he went on to serve as General Manager of the Philippines. He has led each of the company's operating regions and has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, responsible for several key administrative functions including Corporate Communications, Human Resources, External Business Development and External Affairs.
A native of South Africa, Mr. Urbain holds baccalaureus procurationis and master of laws degrees from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg. He undertook post-graduate studies in the United Kingdom.
Michel Cup is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Mead Johnson Nutrition, a position he assumed on September 1, 2015.
Mr. Cup joins Mead Johnson from D.E. Master Blenders 1753, where he served as CFO since 2011 and was a Board member since 2013. Before joining D.E. Master Blenders 1753, Mr. Cup served as CFO of private equity-owned and publicly listed businesses in Europe. He served as finance director of AkzoNobel’s European decorative paints business from 2009 to 2010. Mr. Cup has also acted as the CFO of Provimi, a multinational leader in the animal nutrition industry. From 1999 until 2008, he held senior finance roles within the Numico and Danone baby and medical nutrition businesses.
Mr. Cup began his career with Deloitte, serving in a variety of audit and accounting roles from 1993 to 1999.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hogeschool Sittard in the Netherlands, Mr. Cup holds a post-doctoral degree in chartered accounting from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.
Dirk Hondmann, Ph.D., is Mead Johnson's Chief Scientific Officer, with responsibility for the development of the company's early stage product pipeline, exploratory research, the development of globally relevant nutritional science, and the creation of innovation partnerships with outside institutions and companies. Prior to assuming this position, Dr. Hondmann was Mead Johnson's Senior Vice President, Global Research and Development.
Before joining Mead Johnson in 2005, Dr. Hondmann served in a variety of roles for Unilever. His last position there was Vice President of International Development for Slim-Fast. Prior to that, Dr. Hondmann held a number of positions, including Head of Development for Unilever Foods in South Africa and Head of the Lipton Innovation & Technology Center in California.
Dr. Hondmann holds an adjunct research position at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and gives guest lectures on business and innovation.
Born and raised in Maastricht, the Netherlands, Dr. Hondmann earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry/molecular biology from Groningen University, Netherlands; an M.S. in molecular science from Agricultural University, Wageningen, Netherlands; and an MBA from Heerlen University, Netherlands. Most recently he completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Jeff Jobe is senior vice president, technical operations, responsible for the commercialization of the company's technology and science. In addition to global and regional product development, Mr. Jobe is also responsible for global quality and global supply chain operations.
Mr. Jobe has been continuously employed by Mead Johnson since 1988. Prior to his current role, which he assumed in October 2014, he served as senior vice president, global supply chain, and before that was senior director for the company's North America supply chain.
Before joining Mead Johnson, Mr. Jobe was plant engineer at Ashland Petroleum in Ashland, Kentucky.
Mr. Jobe serves on the Board of Directors of both the Evansville Industrial Foundation and the Evansville Regional Business Committee.
Born and raised in Leitchfield, Kentucky, Mr. Jobe holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.
Graciela Monteagudo is Senior Vice President and President, Americas. In this role, she is responsible for Mead Johnson's businesses in North America and Latin America.
Before assuming this role, Ms. Monteagudo was Mead Johnson's Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America and Global Marketing. In this position, which she held from 2013 to 2015, Ms. Monteagudo oversaw two of the company's worldwide functions: Global Brand Equity & Innovation, and Global Consumer insights. Ms. Monteagudo has also served as Mead Johnson's Vice President, Latin America, and General Manager, Mexico.
Outside of Mead Johnson, Ms. Monteagudo served as Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head for Sam’s Club at Walmart Mexico.
Ms. Monteagudo received a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamericana, and holds a M.S. degree in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico.
Patrick M. Sheller is Mead Johnson Nutrition's Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
Mr. Sheller came to Mead Johnson in January 2015 from Eastman Kodak Company, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, responsible for Kodak's worldwide legal function, and where he was the principal legal advisor to the board of directors and senior management. During his 21-year career with Kodak, Mr. Sheller served as Division Counsel to the company's former Health Group; Chief Antitrust Counsel; international counsel to the company's European, African and Middle Eastern Region; and as Deputy General Counsel. He also held strategic planning and operating roles in Kodak's former Health Care Information Systems business. He previously served as Kodak's Chief Compliance Officer from 2005 to 2012, and was elected Secretary to the board of directors in 2009.
Prior to joining Kodak, Mr. Sheller was in private practice in Washington, D.C., specializing in antitrust and healthcare law. He previously worked for the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., serving as Attorney Advisor to the Chairman and as Staff Attorney in the Commission's Bureau of Competition.
Sandra Yu was named Senior Vice President & General Manager for Greater China effective March 30, 2013.
Ms. Yu joined Mead Johnson in 2007 as Vice President for Marketing in Asia, based in Bangkok. In 2010 she assumed the role of Vice President, Global Marketing, based at the company’s headquarters in Glenview, IL. In 2012 she assumed the position of Vice President, Commercial, and Deputy General Manager for China.
Before joining Mead Johnson, Ms. Yu spent 13 years with Unilever in a variety of roles based in Taiwan and Bangkok. She holds an M.B.A. in marketing and a Bachelor of International Business Management from National Taiwan University.
Ian Ormesher joined Mead Johnson Nutrition in September 2014 as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources.
Mr. Ormesher came to Mead Johnson from Carlsberg Breweries A/S, where he served in a number of senior roles, including Vice President, Human Resources - Western Europe, and Vice President, Human Resources - Asia. Prior to joining Carlsberg, Mr. Ormesher spent 12 years with SABMiller, where he held a variety of HR and organizational development roles of increasing responsibility, including HR Director of the Group's business in China, and ultimately its head of Marketing Capability.
A British national, Mr. Ormesher has over 25 years of multi-disciplined experience in HR and a truly global business perspective, having lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Hong Kong, China and Denmark.
Upon completing his university studies, Mr. Ormesher spent his early career in the Royal Air Force.
